You're a hotshot who just had a business in the city and are now looking for a place to wind up at. The planet is having a rough time at the moment, and word has it that the next world war is very likely at your frontdoor. But you're lucky enough to get yourself into an expensive suite at the top floor of one prestigious hotel, when out of nowhere, the city is hit by a bio-weapon and the impact turns everyone who's unlucky enough to be unprotected into mutants. Your wife is somewhere in the city, and what stands between you and her are 99 floors full of mutants and lunatics lurking in almost every corner.

Let's Talk About Unreal Tournament 3
Whoa, it's been a while since I have wrote (or written, both are kind of correct) something. Been through some ups and downs (mostly downs), had some grammar rules forgotten, and also (and most importantly!), played a bunch of great games since the last time I posted here. I'll talk about them later if I feel like it, but for now, let's talk about Unreal Tournament 3, which I've been playing quite a lot for the past few days.

How Twitter (Rather Unlikely) Helps Me Discover Hidden Gems
Here's a rather lazy post but I already wrote it anyway so why not. Now you must have noticed that the games I talked about here are not all popular mainstream games. There are some games you might not recognize or even paid attention to before. Although they are not necessarily "indie" (as everyone likes to put it these days), they basically are smaller and lesser known games. They are what I personally call "gems". They are out there, but you need a keen pair of eyes to spot them.

Early Launch, the One Mission That Almost Single-Handedly Screws Brink Beyond Recognition
![]() |
Notice that your ally is using a pistol against an assault rifle? Also, do you notice that he's not firing his pistol? |
I started playing Brink again -- after a long break from this game -- from scratch. And now I have to face my old forgotten enemy: this one particular mission called Early Launch. For those of you who didn't bother to play this game but are probably intrigued to know why is this mission so frustrating, spend one minute reading this mission summary here from IGN. I will try to make this post less ugly with pictures, so yahoo! But seriously though, brace yourself for my harsh language in 3, 2, 1...

Left 4 Dead - Dated But Still Very Enjoyable
We all have that one friend who seems to never have aged since they were 16, except maybe 3 days but other than that looks pretty much the same. Maybe it's just me but that's what I likened Left 4 Dead to. Remember back in 2008 when it came out and everyone went nuts over it? Yeah, I remember that too. I remember those moments - the first time I saw the release trailer, the first time I reached the top of Mercy Hospital, and the first time I confronted the Tank. That was a quite a long ago, but you'd be foolish to think that nobody's still playing this gem anymore these days.

Sanctum 2 - A Decent Tower Defense-First Person Shooter Hybrid
Sanctum was one of those games that fused together different genres; an approach that is so rare that you won't be the one to blame if you thought it has never been done before. The sequel, Sanctum 2 was released in 2013 and retains the team-based sci-fi style of the original that is mixed together with the elements of tower defense.

Three Dark Souls Bosses I Randomly Feel Like Talking About
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu6jqIY9aanycALs6x08PmyNcUdCYmr8-B7CeeZk6dxhl-iVkZWBFLGvUVVNxcpLhbX9nfZNcKlOdhXDJhqBaWs30bWvSw1LfI2IExDsa81pgP4VRVKVaWEom3PcnwMNxGJldKu10jcw/s1600/facing+the+demon.jpg)
One of the beauties of Dark Souls lies in the bossfights. Each and every bossfight offers completely different experience to each player. Some may find boss X a huge pain in the ass, while others breeze through that very same boss. With that said, I feel like reminiscing my previous encounter with some of the bosses as well as giving out some interesting insights on the fight through this post. I'll be posting this now and then from now on in no particular order, usually on Thursday when I feel like it, until we hit the seventh boss or something.

Counter Strike Xtreme V6 - A Brief Look
Well I haven't been posting any review for a while. I'm a bit busy with university and in the process of learning French as well, which will be my 5th language and after that Portuguese with the help of my Brazilian friend, Eric. Having been occupied for quite a while keeps me away from the desk to write some good ol' fashioned reviews. But mostly my habit of writing long and elaborated review is pretty much the cause of that, so this semester break I'll make sure to find time to sit down and finish those long overdue reviews. So here's a warm-up: a brief review on Counter Strike Xtreme V6, a fan-made mod for the ever-popular multiplayer classic shooter, Counter Strike.

Five Very Interesting Cancelled Games You Never Knew
Financial problems. Technical difficulties. Internal issues within the studio. These are some of the reasons why now and then, we find some games scrapped off of development and cancelled, no matter how promising they look. Whether they would have been great or not, we will never know. But the fact that they are cancelled makes them seem very interesting. So, here are some of those cancelled games that you may never knew. With that in mind, you shouldn't expect me to talk about cancelled games like STALKER 2, Command & Conquer: Tiberium or Fallout Online, as they are very well known and you've probably read about them somewhere else anyway.
