When it comes to giving XP points, Brink can be considered generous. But I’ll just make it quick, so if you’re XP greedy, then here are some tips for you.
As a Soldier:
The Soldier has two non-combat abilities that if performed frequently in a cycle, can help you gain numerous XP points, namely Scavenge and Resupply.
Scavenger
One more dude to finish, then it's Scavenge Time! |
As a Soldier, try to scavenge as many bodies as you can until your supply meter is full. You will also have the chance to find an extra supply pip. Each time you successfully scavenged a dead body, you are rewarded with huge XP points, about 40XP.
Resupplier
Then, resupply your teammates with ammo. The lower the ammo they have, the higher the XP points you will gain. Resupplying a teammate who is completely out of ammo rewards you 150XP points! That's a lot! So, always resupply the ones with the least ammo first. Once you're out of supply, find bodies to scavenge, and repeat the steps you did before.
You can contribute a lot to your team by doing this. I'm not kidding.
As an Operative:
Disguise
The Operative is a very fun class to play as especially if you like to troll around. His most basic ability; Disguise, is the most XP rewarding one. If there’s a pile of dead bodies in front of you and you’re currently playing as an Operative, that’s jackpot! Disguise as those enemies, one after another. But of course, before you attempt to do that, make sure none of their friend is around. Each successful disguise rewards you with up to 125XP points.
Turret Hacker
Hacked turrets fight for you even when you're downed. |
Next, the Operative's Turret Hack ability is extremely useful, too. It enables you to hack enemy's turrets and turn them into yours so that they fight for you and help you gain lots of XP points. It literally turns your Operative into an Engineer, except instead of deploying turrets like an Engineer does, you hack one (which is a quicker process). Besides that, you can hack as many turrets as you please. This, of course, depends on how many turrets your enemies are deploying.
Caltrop
Another cool ability, or in this case, gadget, is the Caltrop grenade, which detonates to release spikes. Just pop it where your enemies are concentrated, and each time they step on those spikes, they deal some damage and you gain XP points. Now, walking renders the spike damage useless, so if the enemies start to slow down, pick up your gun and just spray them with bullets instead.
